HELP SAVE EDINBURGH FOR YOUR CHILDREN, THEIR CHILDREN AND THEIR CHILDREN`S CHILDREN
2 RALLIES BOTH AT THE CITY CHAMBERS THE HIGH ST, THE ROYAL MILE
9.30AM THURSDAY 23RD AUGUST AGAINST NURSERY, SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY CLOSURES and other important cuts in services
1PM WEDNESDAY 22ND AUGUST AGAINST NURSERY CLOSURES
Grassmarket Nursery Parents Committee are contacting all the Council run nurseries, schools and community centres to ask for your support as a city wide community to rally with us against their proposed Closures.
We are aware that some of you will not be facing this risk of closure. However if we all work together as a city wide community, in times of need, we will be supporting each other, and our children’s educational needs and future. These educational places are centres of excellence as well as being at the heart of our community.
We know that this is short notice and many parents/carers work, though we call to you as concerned parents/carers to come and support those in present need, our children and the teachers who have give us so much!
We cannot do this alone, the more support we have, the more chance we have at being heard. Let us work together as a city wide community to save our nurseries, schools and community centres. Bring homemade banners, babies in buggies, nursery and school age children, grandparents and yourselves to both rallies.
The media will be present STV, BBC, LeithFM and The Evening News/Scotsman among others.
